Jasper Conran is the son of Sir Terence Conran and his first wife, author Shirley Conran. He is passionate about the arts and besides his 20-year career as a fashion designer, he has also designed costumes for over 14 ballets and operas. He also renovates historic houses - most recently he bought Walpole House in Chiswick.
As a designer, his signature lies in his cut and the resultant silhouette. He has a particularly British sensibility.

• He also designs a hugely successful range for Debenhams Jasper Conran is one of life's great artists - whether it be performance arts, the performance on the catwalk or at parties. For all these reasons, he was awarded an OBE in 2008.
